The Henderson Library is now accepting original poetry submissions through Saturday, April 23, 2022, for the annual Poetry Contest. The contest is for ages 6 & up. First place awards will be presented for the following ages levels: Juvenile ages 6-11, Young Adult ages 12-17, and Adult ages 18 & up. On Monday, April 25, 2022 at 6 pm the library will host a Poetry Reception for ages 12 & up with guest author and published poet, Roger Craik, Professor Emeritus of English at Kent State University. Dr. Craik has written four previous collections of poetry: I Simply Stared (2002), Rhinoceros in Clumber Park (2003), The Darkening Green (2004), and Down Stranger Roads (2014). His new book, In Other Days, was just released this year and will available for purchase and author signing at the Poetry Reception.
